Declaration on the Protection of Personal Information

The Japan Management Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") recognizes the importance of carefully and appropriately protecting all personal information and Specific Personal Information which can identify a specific individual, including the information of the number obtained by converting a resident record code (hereinafter referred to collectively as "the Personal Information") with regards to the Association and all the Association’s clients, and thus will strive to protect, manage, operate, and use the Personal Information in accordance with the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "the Privacy Policy").

Policy on the Protection of Personal Information

The Association has established the following Privacy Policy which the Association shall continuously endeavor to comply with in order to handle the Personal Information appropriately.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The Association complies with all pertinent laws and regulations with regards to the handling of personal information and any guidelines or standards established by the Japanese government.

2. Appropriate Handling of Personal Information

The Association appoints an employee as supervisor who is in charge of information management, and takes any and all safety and correction measures against such risks as unauthorized usage of, loss of, damage to, falsification of, and unauthorized disclosure of the Personal Information.

Furthermore, to ensure the proper handling of the Personal Information, the Association provides all the employees working for the Association with the necessary education and training with regards to proper handling of the Personal Information.

3. Purpose (s) of acquisition of the Private Information and scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose(s)

The Association clarifies the purpose for acquiring the Personal Information and acquires such information only within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose.

4. Use of the Private Information within the limits of the purpose of acquisition

The Association will use the Personal Information only within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose(s) of acquisition which has been specified in advance, except for cases in which the Association has obtained prior consent from the individual who provides the Personal Information and except for cases required by the related laws or regulations.

5. Limitation of use and management of the Private Information

The Association will protect the confidentiality of the Personal Information and appropriately manage such information only within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose(s) of use which is determined by consent of the individual or is required by the related laws and regulations.

In the case where the Association provides the Personal Information to an outside party, the Association will do so only within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose(s) of use which is determined by consent of the individual, and will advise such outside party to direct them to handle the Personal Information under the strict guidelines regarding the use of Personal Information.

6. Establishment and continuous improvement of the management system to protect the Private Information

The Association will organize internal rules and system that correspond to the establishment, actual operation, and continuous improvement of the management system which the Association implements to appropriately handle the Private Information.

7. Establishment of a contact point to handle inquiries and complaints

The Association has established a "Private Information Counseling Service Counter" which functions to appropriately, faithfully, and promptly respond to inquiries and complaints from our clients. The Association will reasonably respond to request(s) from our clients to disclose, correct, delete, or stop using the Personal Information which the Association obtains.
